Sweep-A-Lot, Inc. is a true family owned and operated business. The owners are Rick and Alice McCann, who have been married for 30 years and are lifetime residents of Georgia. Working with them in the business are their two sons, Scott and Taylor.

Rick spent 25 years in law enforcement, where he ultimately oversaw Augusta/Richmond County's violent crimes division. Upon retirement he spent several years working at a local bank where he was in charge of facilities, security, ATMs, and telecommunications. Alice is a retired schoolteacher. As a team, they recognize the value of being both detail-oriented and thorough in providing services to customers.

"In my early days of law enforcement," Rick says, "I learned very well the importance of doing a job right the first time. Unlike in some other types of business, detectives don't have the luxury of doing anything other than thorough work. Police work often can't be done over when mistakes are made. I bring that philosophy to Sweep-A-Lot, as well. When we promise a top level of service to a customer then we make sure that's what they receive, each and every time."

Rick brought this philosopy of excellence to his own company when he founded Sweep-A-Lot in 2004. The company foundation is to always deliver on any agreements with our customers. Although Rick heads up the company, the rest of his immediate family is 'hands-on' in day-to-day operations, as well. All have the same commitment to quality work output, and these values are instilled in the entire Sweep-A-Lot workforce through its training program.

"Our team members all have an understanding of what property managers expect in the way of cleanliness and maintenance of parking lots, sidewalks and landscaping. The same goes for how pressure washing, pavement maintenance and our many other services should be done. We put ourselves into the place of their tenants and customers, and run our business accordingly. Our schedules are established to bring the least disruption to customer businesses while, at the same time, maximizing the cost-effectiveness of our services.
